Katharine Beisner

Katharine Beisner is passionate about developing and deploying clean tech innovation.  Katharine forges strategic partnerships and winning grant applications and RFP responses in multiple sectors including energy storage, EV infrastructure, and cleantech software solutions.  Katharine is an experienced product manager able to leverage deep market intelligence and work closely with development, sales, and marketing to build superior applications that exceed customer expectations and protect our climate.

Energy Storage

Katharine coordinated multiple behind-the-meter utility and corporate RFP responses for Stem Inc.   Proposals aggregated, distributed, multiple use application energy storage systems, stacking value streams including resilience, demand charge mitigation, resource adequacy, arbitrage, and demand response program bidding.

At Austin Energy, Katharine was a contributing editor to Austin Energy whitepapers published on Austin SHINES, a program to optimize the value of solar plus storage for grid, commercial, and residential applications.

Electric Vehicles

Winning and leveraging grant funding, Katharine developed $2M of DC Fast EV charging infrastructure for Austin Energy, the municipal electric utility for Austin, Texas.  Katharine identified premium Fast EV Charging sites, verified grid infrastructure and power availability, and negotiated site host contracts with commercial property owners.

Solar

Katharine was responsible for SunPower’s portfolio of commercial and residential solar monitoring and energy management, solar design, and EPC project management software applications.

Software
Katharine is an agile software product manager with experience in marketing, strategic planning, and business development.
